Job Description:  

This position will require compliance with appropriate DHEC sanitation guidelines and total commitment to quality of our product.

Our Baker will have a weekly schedule of 30-40 hours.  This will include some Saturday deliveries as part of a team.

What we expect:    

Bonnie Brunt Cakes expects this individual to successfully complete all baking each week in a timely manner, focusing on quality, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.  This person should have the ability to effectively interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow recipes and execute bakery plans as directed
  • Clean and maintain food areas and baking surfaces, during and after preparation
  • Operate small kitchen appliances
  • Practice safe handling of food and equipment

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run
  • Must be able to work week days and some weekends
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to wake up early, arrive on time and stay late (as needed)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
